I love you. I’ll miss you. Be good for Grandma – I’ll be back for dinner.
And you’re off for a day with the girls in Stony – coffee, shopping and a few hours where no one asks you for a juice box (although you probably do have one in the bottom of your purse for emergencies).
And the great thing is, all your stops are all just minutes from each other in this charming small town. Less driving means more time for shopping!
For all things country
The Country Pumpkin is a store packed full of country-inspired furniture, decorative items and yummy-smelling candles. You’ll find lots of wood, intricate quilts and handmade goods by local artisans. The dolls by Connie are adorable!
Bright and colourful gifts
Browse around Phina’s for fresh linens, prints and kitchen-ware. You’ll find lots of light bright colours, lively patterns and fresh flowers. This is a great place to pause for a latte and snack at their coffee bar.
Old is new again
Just up 50th St from Phina’s is One Man’s Treasure. Spend some time here browsing for antique furniture, clothes and jewelry, hand-knitted goods, retro glassware and a whole bunch of other beautiful and unique treasures.
Add to your yarn stash
You have almost finished that scarf for your sister, and those baby blankets for the twins are well on their way – what will you make next? Head down a few doors to Pam’s Woolly Shoppe for inspiration and some new needles (and a pair of chunky baby booties that you can pass off as your own).
Delicate perfume-bottle shaped Lampe Berger were originally created in 1898 to purify the air in hospitals, now they make an amazing shower or birthday gift. You can find a big assortment of these lamps at Shelly’s Finds, along with garden accessories, frames, silk flowers and lots of other beautiful things.
Phew – what a day! Next week with the girls, do it all again in Spruce Grove.
