Right in the town of Stony Plain, Camp n Class RV Park has 77 RV full-service paved stalls with free cable and Wi-Fi, laundry and a fenced off-leash dog run. The park is right next to Heritage Park and some of the town’s biggest summer festivals – Farmer’s Days, Blueberry Bluegrass and the Cowboy Gathering.
Largest park in the region
Glowing Embers RV Park is just south off Hwy 16A and is the largest RV park in the Edmonton area. This clean and well-maintained RV park is just minutes from West Edmonton Mall and close to 10 golf courses. Park at a full power, pull-through site with free Wi-Fi and enjoy the indoor rec centre, onsite laundry, general store, arcade and a hall for family gatherings and other big functions.
Seasonal spots by the lake
Hubbles Lake RV Resort is a gated RV community 30 km from Edmonton near Stony Plain – with a private beach, gardens, boat rentals, store and a new playground. Pick a spot for the whole season in the shade of tall trees or a sunny spot down by the lake. Or rent the resort’s country themed cottage for a week of playing in the sand, fishing on the lake and BBQs on the private deck.
Family fun on Mink Lake
Mink Lake Resort & Campground is a family oriented RV park & campground 45 minutes from the city on the south point of the lake. They have a sandy beach, paddle boats, mini-golf, free showers and a store. You can tent or park your home on wheels at powered and non-powered spots, pets are welcome and they book by the night, week or month.
Spa retreat on the farm
What’s that? You don’t have an RV? No problem – book the six-sleeper at Newman Country Retreat Farm. Or take a spa weekend (or whole spa week) in the cedar log cabin or bring your trusty tent, they have spots for those too. You’ll have access to healing workshops with your hostess Pauline, massage, meditation and crafts like cake decorating, sewing and making memory books. You can interact with the farm animals, collect herbs from the garden and walk the labyrinth.
Spring-fed sand-bottom lake
Park your beauty next to the spring-fed lake at Spring Lake RV Resort, less than an hour from the city and just west of Stony Plain. Play on the private sandy beach, fish on the lake and tell spooky stories around the campfire – each pull-through RV site has one. They also have rustic camping cabins available for the night or the week.
Close to Seba – and ice cream!
Kokanee Springs RV Park is in Seba Beach, 45 minutes west. This friendly beach community has a museum, Saturday farmer’s market, mini-golf, groceries and ice cream. Park or camp among the trees and enjoy the driving range, two playgrounds, licensed grill and cookhouse and gazebo for group events.
Luxurious bubble baths
Diamond Grove RV Campground is in Spruce Grove, 10 minutes from Edmonton. Park your rig on luxurious, large cement pads and take advantage of the campground’s scenic landscape and facilities – laundromat, rec room, store and driving range. And Mom, you’ll like this: you can book me-time in the luxury ensuite washrooms – feel the smooth cool granite countertops, light the fireplace for a warm glow and sink down into a jetted tub full of soothing hot water and bubbles. The Stony Plain Lions Campground is just across the highway from all the action in town – take a horse and wagon mural tour, browse the charming downtown shops and then head back to your private spot among the mature trees.
