Do you love listening to free music? We thought so. Enjoy a unique free concert every Wednesday night from June 21st to August 9th. Located in Shikaoi Park, Summer Sessions includes Juno-nominated and award winning artists, as well as a variety of other popular Canadian talent. Bring a blanket and picnic basket, or treat yourself to dinner without any cleanup at the Stony Plain Youth Centre BBQ. Get ready for the whole family to tap, clap, and sing along, at these events – fun for all ages.
Stony Plain Cowboy Festival
Saddle up music lovers, the Cowboy Festival is riding into Stony Plain August 18th to 20th. This gathering will be filled with live music, art and poetry. Aaron Pritchett will headline the event on Saturday, August 19th, with opening act Topher Mils. What’s an event without something great to snack on? Cash bar and food will be available, so don’t worry about where to get your grub.
Blueberry Bluegrass and Country Music Festival
There’s a country dance swinging into Stony Plain this August, and you’re invited! On August 4th, 5th and 6th, we want you to shake a tail feather and experience a weekend full of toe tapping, tunes, and pancakes (yes, pancakes!) This festival has everything you need for the perfect family weekend, from a children’s petting zoo and wagon rides, to an interactive museum and RV camping. Complete the experience with a meet and greet with the performers, or win a guitar in the guitar raffle. Don’t forget to save a little room for something sweet, because a pancake breakfast will be served on Saturday and Sunday. See you at the 32nd annual, Blueberry Bluegrass and Country Music Festival!

Live bands light up the stage every weekend, with genres varying from Blues, Roots, Folk, Country, and Indie Rock and Roll. Let the good times roll and jam out to the live music, or enjoy special event nights such as Ladies Night, Cabaret and Burlesque Shows, Comedy, and Trivia. Get ready for a night of amazing music at Moonshiners in Stony Plain.
Tomahawk Canada Day Celebrations
Celebrate Canada Day with fun and festivities in Tomahawk, Parkland County. Enjoy a day of fun for the whole family, while you celebrate another proud year of red and white. This event is packed with hour to hour entertainment, including a face painter, a horseshoe tournament, a Canada Day cake and much more. To top it off, you can enjoy an afternoon filled with live music from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., so you can dance in another year of Canadian history.
